Finally, here Ryan is saying, at least how he says it, “In”.  Not the biggest of words.  Definitely not “daddy dupa”…

The only time he whined or a very weak attempt at a cry was when he couldn’t see the TV!  I haven’t figured out if that’s a good thing yet or not…

So Kelly finally got Ryan drinking out of a cup.  Finally!

And he was in a REALLY good mood today!

Quick story.  Yesterday I had a ham steak for dinner.  Ham isn’t Kelly’s thing AT ALL so she almost always has noodles (egg noodles) and cottage cheese whenever I have the ham.  It also helps that cottage cheese isn’t my thing.  So everybody is happy, right?  JP ended up having 2 plates and a small bowl of noodles with butter, he was a big pig yesterday!  So we were giving Ryan small chunks of noodles and he was really loving them.  He must of had 3 noodles, and at 5 bites per noodle it becomes a lot of spoonfulls!  So JP spilled a bunch of his noodles on the rub and they all picked up some dog hair.  He ate alot and was done so that was ok.  He lied about spilling them though which was bad, he claimed that the dog hairs were just there…  Anyways, Ryan watched as Kelly had dumped the yucky noodles in the garbage.  Ryan then crawled over to the garbage can, opened it up and started stuffing noodles in his mouth!  Yuck.  He didn’t get too many, but the fact that he put everything together was (kinda) impressive!

I did it again, I got lazy almost forgot about updating the website!!!

Christmas was good, New Years was quiet!  Today I was getting Ryan in his jams and I put the wrong shirt on him.  Then I said to Ryan “Daddy’s a duppa…” and clear as day he said “daddy duppa”.  If only kelly was there she would 1-back me up that he said it 2-have recorded it and claim how smart Ryan was for his age 3-Will try repeatedly to get him to say that again!  Or maybe she was working with him and that’s why it sounded so good…

So Ryan stumbled across JP’s piano, so we turned it on and instead of just banging on as many keys as possible as hard and fast as possible, Ryan actually made some nice music.  Okay, not music, but nice sounds!

Ryan has been pretty stubborn with the whole walking thing.  As you saw in the Piano video he’s very steady when he stands.  He just wants to run, not walk, and he can’t get the feet going in a good marching order!  I’ve had to make some good dives to save him!  And sometimes he falls.  Little boys heal fast!

Another thing he has been stubborn on is talking.  I want a “Dada” .  Kelly kinda does, just so when he’s hungry (Ryan hungry? – Never!) and calls “dada!” Mother dearest can hit me and say “but he’s calling for you sweatheart…”

So I was playing with Ryan and Kelly was walking by.  Ryan gave what I thought was a “Dada” but just to be sure I gave Kelly a quick glance and the look on her face confirmed it!  I left a vapor trail getting the video camera and I mostly got it on tape!

Me:”Jonathan, do you want to go to the pretzel store?”  Meaning BJ’s.

JP:”Do they have pretzels there?”

Sigh…

Me:”Yes”

JP:”No.”

Grrrrrr…..

As in Gingerbread House Train!  Since all of our stuff is a little off the wall why should Christmas be any different?  JP and I decided to build it today.  Doing half of it after bath time wasn’t so smart though…

JP thought it looked so yummy that we had to beat him away!  Let it live for a day!

Things are good here, except I'm the only one really sick.  Well, Ryan has a runny nose but I think he was born with that so we're not gonna count it…

Well, Once again a missed a few major events!  My darling wife and mother of my two way too cute kids turned 36, got old, is a year older!  Here's me switching gears uber fast and saying Happy Thanksgiving!  (Yes I know it's now December, thank you Captain Obvious…)

You know those photos of streets at night where all you see are the head and tail light streaks of the cars?  I love those pictures.  For as long as I've had a camera I've wanted to take ones like that and actually have it come out.  Well, this isn't a street, but it is at night!  Of course it would have looked a lot better if the bag of dog food wasn't in the background…  Because Ryan is… Ryan we felt that we needed to protect the Monorail from our little godzilla.  How you you protect it?  You put a train that goes around 4 times as fast to keep him at bay!  So far so good!

It's good they get along, for now that is!
